We need more information to make sure you meet the course entry requirements. Preparing these documents ahead of time will streamline your application process. 

You may need to supply

  • Transcripts of any previous study undertaken or completed. If you don't have copies of your transcripts, you can request them at MyEquals.
  • Evidence of meeting the university’s English language requirements.
  • Proof of identity
  • An up-to-date CV.

Once you have applied, you can track the progress of your application via the application portal. 

You can save and return to your application at any time. Once you submit, you can expect an outcome within five business days, and you can track the progress of your application via the portal.

All communications related to your application, including requests for additional information and application outcomes, will be sent to the email address you registered for your application. To avoid delays, please upload the requested information as soon as possible.

Supporting documentation is required to show evidence that you meet our course entry requirements. We recommend preparing your documentation to ensure a seamless application process.

Frequently Asked Questions

The time it takes to assess applications can vary. If you're applying for the next intake, this will typically be between 3-7 business days after we receive all required documents. Future intakes (beyond the next intake) may have different assessment timelines. 

The University of Melbourne offers six intakes each year for these online courses. These intakes take place in January, March, May, July, August and October. Application closing dates vary depending on the intake you are applying for.

The online application portal deadlines for our upcoming intakes are as follows:

  • August 2025 intake: apply by 18 August
  • October 2025 intake: apply by 13 October
  • January 2026 intake: apply by 5 January
  • March 2026 intake: apply by 2 March
  • May 2026 intake: apply by 27 April
  • July 2026 intake: apply by 29 June
  • August 2026 intake: apply by 24 August
  • October 2026 intake: apply by 19 October.

Congratulations! Before celebrating, you must accept your offer to secure your spot in the course. Your offer letter will provide instructions on how to accept your offer. If you do not accept your offer, your offer will lapse and you will have to reapply. Please get in contact with our Online Education Advisers to find out when your offer will lapse.

FEE-HELP loans are available to eligible online students at the University of Melbourne to assist with paying all or part of your fees. For more information on FEE-HELP loans, including eligibility, visit the Study Assist website.
