As a Graduate Online student you are entitled to access the many services offered by the Counselling and Psychological Services team.
FREE INDIVIDUAL COUNSELLING
If you are located in Melbourne, you can book a face-to-face session by visiting the counselling services office or call the service at 8344 6927.
If you can't get to campus, you can book an online or phone appointment by contacting the Online Student Support Team. Online sessions are delivered through Zoom, a free video conferencing service.
Alternatively, if you wish to book an online or phone appointment yourself, you can call the counselling service reception desk on +61 3 8344 6927 and request to speak with Kirk, Allison or Paul.
The Counselling Service also offers drop-in sessions at 2.00pm each day on a first-come, first-served basis. Visit the individual counselling page for more information.
Visit the Emergency Support page if you or someone else is in immediate danger or you need to speak to someone urgently.
SELF HELP RESOURCES
- The while you are waiting for an appointment page includes self-help resources and strategies for managing mental health and mood while you are waiting for your appointment.
- Ask Counselling is a repository of questions real University of Melbourne students have asked about psychological and emotional issues, and helpful responses from the Counselling and Psychological Services team. This provides you with an opportunity to learn about other students' concerns and possibly share your own.
- The Counselling Service has developed an extensive range of tip sheets about managing different issues and feelings.
