Respond to the complex and evolving changes of an ageing population worldwide. Whether you work in aged care, public policy or industry, now’s the time to build your skills and knowledge in this fast-growing area.
The Master of Ageing is an innovative course that brings together leading experts from multiple disciplines for a creative and proactive approach to the economic, social and political dimensions of ageing.
According to the World Health Organization (WHO), in just about every country on the planet “the proportion of people aged over 60 years is growing faster than any other age group”. These societal changes will continue to bring challenges and opportunities.
This course has been designed to produce leaders in the field of ageing who will be able to develop new approaches and policies that help shift the focus to a more positive and holistic view of ageing. It is particularly relevant to policy and planning professionals, entrepreneurs, managers, healthcare professionals and those working with ageing populations and workforces. Graduates will be well placed to take up leadership, advocacy, and managerial roles in this rapidly expanding sector.
As a graduate of the Ageing in Society course you will gain the same qualification and graduation certificate as an on-campus student because you will achieve identical learning outcomes from the same academics that teach our on-campus courses. If you complete your master’s you will also be invited to attend a graduation ceremony in Melbourne.
